Where will SYINConnect be held?

Syinconnect '08 will be held in at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore. It will be at W1 on the map below:

Is parking available?

Parking for cars is available for $3 per day maximum.

Why do I have to pay?

The conference fee helps to cover the costs of food (lunch and refreshments) and the conference material.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made at the registration booth on the day of the event itself. Please assist us by bringing the exact amount of $12 in cash.

When will I know if I'm selected?

We will process applications as they come in and notify you about selection via e-mail within a week

Can I leave early?

We would encourage you to stay for as long as you can so that you will be have more of a chance to interact with and get to know the other participants. However if you are unable to stay for the whole programme, conference materials will be available post-conference.

I'm not exactly considered youth. Can I still apply?

While our target audience are youths, we would warmly welcome anyone who works closely with youths. Observers will be able to partake in conference activities as well. Simply apply at the same link here. Please note that the conference fee of $12 also applies.

I'm interested in 2 (or more) of the morning/afternoon sessions but can't attend both. Will there be repeats?

Unfortunately, we have had to plan the conference sessions in way to offer the broadest range of topics for participants and due to time constraints, we will not be able to repeat any of the sessions. However, conference materials for all the sessions will be made available to all participants after the event.

What should I bring?

We will not require participants to bring any specific materials as we will be proving the conference material. However, please feel free to bring any stationery to take notes, or name cards to distribute to other conference participants

What will happen after SYINConnect?

SYINConnect is a mini cosmos of what SYINC is. SYINC will be launching our programmes such as Teachers Leadership Network (TLN), Capacity Building, and SYINCubate in the last quarter of this year. Do join us if you'll like to be part of this formative process!
